Vocal artist, arranger, and songsmith James Richardson announces the release of his first self-produced solo album Daydreams.
[Nashville, TN] vocal artist, arranger, and songsmith, James Richardson is thrilled to announce the release of his first solo, self-produced album, Daydreams. This eight track collection of songs is a blend of jazz and Americana, and showcases his musical talents as he reimagined, arranged, and composed each song.
The album will be available on streaming platforms at the end of May, and will also be available on CD, digital download, and a limited-run vinyl. To celebrate its release, a limited, curated listening event will be announced soon with special appearances from Richardson.
The featured track “Kaleidoscope” was co-written with Eitan Snyder, Alex Murphy, and Ben Sanders, and arranged by Richardson. This song is a perfect crossroads of emotional vocals and heartfelt lyrics that captures the essence of the entire album: a dreamy patchwork of songs that will inspire listeners to reflect, remember, and, perhaps, requite kindness.
“This project is a keepsake of songs that have somehow or in some way inspired me on my life journey; I hope that the listeners can apply them to their life meaningfully,” said Richardson when asked about his new album.
Richardson's debut solo album marks a new era for the young artist who hopes to inspire others through music.

Daydreams wouldn’t have come to life without sharing perspectives and creative energy with my co-producer and engineer, Ben Sanders. Thank you for such a beautiful and eye-opening process of building this record. I would also like to acknowledge my family and their immense love and support: Shaun Richardson, C.J. Oliver, Shane Burkett, Tom and Cindy Richardson. Along the journey, kind people have encouraged, supported, and inspired me to pursue my art.
I am grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with every artist on this project. It has ignited a fire inside me. How joyous and freeing it is to create art through togetherness. Thank you for helping me find myself and tell my story. I can’t wait to continue this curious, creative journey that began with daydreams and an imagination.
Now, daydream with me.
